Product Description
aptiQmobile™ Credentials
Transform an NFC-enabled smartphone into an ID card.
Introducing aptiQmobile™, a new way of delivering mobile credentials to your students’ phones. With aptiQmobile, a smartphone app works just like an ID card, providing more for your students while enhancing the security of their credential.
With its ultra-convenient design, aptiQmobile takes campus and work life to the next level. Prospective students and employees notice when you have the latest technology. aptiQmobile provides the convenient ability to use a smartphone in the same way a smart card is used today.
aptiQmobile also saves you time and money. Fewer lost cards to reprint and replace is a win-win for everyone…including the environment.
aptiQmobile™ Credentials
aptiQmobile™ transforms an NFC-enabled smartphone into a credential, delivering contactless access control and a range of transaction options. With one mobile app, the phone becomes the user’s new ID card.
Advanced 128-bit AES encryption and optional screen lock ensure the safety of sensitive information. aptiQmobile credentials are compatible with the same aptiQ™ readers that accept MIFARE® Classic or MIFARE® DESFire™ EV1 smart cards, providing a smooth migration path to mobile credentials.
Use aptiQmobile credentials with applications beyond access control, such as vending, secure printing or transit access. Assign credentials via existing access control software or the aptiQmobile admin portal and issue an ID almost instantly through the aptiQmobile cloud service.
Utilizing near field communication (NFC) technology, aptiQmobile™ turns a smart phone app into an ID card. aptiQmobile provides the convenience of using a phone for access control and a variety of other applications such as vending1, secure printing, discounts, or anything else your ID card is used for today.
Not only is it convenient, but an aptiQmobile credential offers a higher level of security than the average ID card, including advanced encryption and an optional passcode screen lock to help ensure that sensitive data is not compromised.
aptiQmobile credentials can be used on the same readers that aptiQ smart cards are used on today, including AD Series multi-technology readers, so a facility can migrate to mobile credentials easily and at their own pace. Or issue mobile credentials to some employees while giving others cards; the system is designed to meet dynamic security needs.
aptiQmobile credentials can be assigned using existing access control software2 or with the web-based aptiQmobile Admin Portal. Mobile credentials are created and issued by the account administrator via the aptiQmobile cloud service. Then the user downloads the free aptiQmobile app and verifies their identity before downloading the secure credential to their phone.

A higher level of security
All aptiQmobile credentials are secured using 128bit AES encryption (regardless of communication mode), making these mobile credentials more secure than the average ID card. In addition, key diversification, mutual authentication and a patent-pending anti-playback technology are also used as additional layers of security to help ensure the user’s information is protected. On top of that, the password protected screen lock feature on mobile phones doesn’t exist on a physical ID card. Pairing its increased level of security with all of the other conveniences of a mobile phone, aptiQmobile is a superior solution for your security needs.
