Mortise Bolt

The Baldwin mortise door bolt provides a simple way of securing a door. The mortise bolt has a thumbturn on one side and has no trim on the exterior side. Can be used on bathroom doors for privacy with the #0415 trim set.

The mortise bolt may be installed above or below a knob or lever lock, depending on the desired visibility. A mortise bolt is acceptable for medium security applications although it does not provide the same security as a traditional deadbolt.
